Inspiration for this collection comes from my travel experience to Paris. What inspired me the most is juxtaposition of solid metal structure of the Eiffel Tower with graphic bold lines against the soft and mystical sky and how they complement each other.

This experience influences the choice of fabrics, colours and silhouettes of this collection. Fabric for this collection are silk organza combined with leather like fabric, surface treated jersey with metallic shine which is soft and fluid at the same time.

Silhouettes are created by fusing solid graphic lines with softness, fluidity and transparency of the fabrics. Great emphasis is put on creating designs which are elegant and edgy with bit of madness.

LABEL CONCEPT

Sophielle's goal is to produce innovative and stylish designs that fuse handcrafted elements with organic drapes and folds. The emphasis is on creations that are elegant and sophisticated but edgy. Nature and its colours play an important role in the designs process.

With only a limited number of each design produced, Sophielle is clearly for women who want to define their own identity with a truely unique style.

DESIGNER PROFILE

Kanwal first love and passion is fashion design. She likes to fuse handcrafted elements and draping. She strongly beliefs that women should have her own identity and garments should enhance their beauty while providing comfort, confidence and feel good factor. She combines fluidity with structure to accentuate the body curves. Her objective is to produce semi couture garments.

Kanwal has good amount of experience in fashion industry. She did diploma in fashion design in her early part of the career. She has worked as Fashion Coordinator with big fashion houses. In order to pursue her passion and dream, she has recently done her degree in fashion design from LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore.
