FESTIVE COLLECTION

"Wayward Boy meets Girl."

 Mister Wayward

This season is pretty exciting because Wayward’s not single anymore, he still retains his eccentric sensibilities such as using cutlery as accessories!

He is all about looking dandy from day to night and of course having brunch. In his spare time, he loves going for long strolls by the river, penning ideas at the bookstore and spending time with Miss Wayward.

Miss Wayward

This collection was conceived with the idea of a really charming girl with places to go and people to meet and she's not all what she appears to be.

"Miss Wayward's" debut season is about simple shapes with wicked details – a little lavender dress with a wrap that cinches the waist or unwrapped for a flowy silhouette — focusing on what an outfit appears to show and what it appears to hide.

A dark Navy pleated shift with a bib eptimises the Wayward DNA. It’s my favourite piece from the collection, because the dress hangs loosely from the body with no zipper to fasten but adorned with just a bib. It can be wore on the outside or layered underneath the sheath for a different aesthetic balance. That dress defines the cool and effortless appeal I hoped to capture in this collection.

LABEL CONCEPT

Classics urbanised with a modern fit and a humorous twist.

This is the A.K.A Wayward line of statement pieces. Like the prodigal son who has returned after searching for the proverbial "IT", this label simply refutes societal norms. Yet, its contradictory personality constantly "masquerades" to fit in, a master of adventure and disguise.

A.K.A Wayward is an extension of this personality and the people from all walks of life it encounters on its adventures.

DESIGNER PROFILE

With her roots as an Art Director in an MNC Agency, Mun Foong then sought new experiences freelancing in various design houses and agencies, working on a wide spectrum of projects.

By day, Mun Foong is a talented apparel designer. By night, she is a self-confessed eyeliner freak, accessory bandit. She also swears by sneakers, with the idea that women could actually go on dates in heels quite beyond her.
